The Blog Continues Here
Time rushes by so quickly. And things take time. It's like the difference between wanting to build a house, and doing it. In this case, we haven't just started. But still, 3 people with so many pulls on our time ...
Still, a few months ago there was just the start of It Hurts When You Break a Leg or a Heart.
Now ... 2 more songs are done. A celebration of Eva, my 87-year-old dance teacher.
And What Are You Doing On Valentine's Day? (when your sweetheart is no one, when you hear others play).
And tomorrow, something we've been working on for months, in bits and pieces: I Live Freedom.
I thought, when I wrote it, it would be done in a couple of weeks.
Not so easy.
But finally, tomorrow, recording.
I see the mountains ahead: videos, more and more songs.
I also see that, one little step at a time, we are getting things done.
My part - my biggest part - is the quickest. Writing the words. That's so quick for me.
Nothing else is quick!
Not even the pages that you see. Design. Keywords. Banner.
The biggest stuff. Getting it all to sound right. In fact, it's all the biggest stuff. Everything counts.
Right now ... like it says in one of the pieces, the joker is wild. Are we holding any wild cards? Like all people in the arts, we hope we are, we hope there'll be some big breakthrough.
Because we care about this stuff. We think we've got some stuff that you will love ... if only you get to hear it.
Gifts to the universe.
A pleasure to do.
