At Home to the Core
I feel comfy as a pillow
relaxed as a willow . . . full lyrics
2 choices - spoken, and also "sung" a cappella, in my sing-song way.
SPOKEN
SUNG, A CAPPELLA
At Home to the Core
I feel comfy as a pillow
relaxed as a willow
soft yet sturdy as can be
I feel unmasked like a hero
heart open to the one love
unguarded and safe as can be
seeing you
comfy as a cushion
relaxed as a mushroom
deliciously cozy with me
Yet we're ready
passionately
to blow the quiet
to have a riot
to join together
ardently
to have a heady diet
of luxurious
intimacy
I wouldn't often try it
it's so unlike my everyday
me
But it sure is a pleasure
something that we treasure
enormously
Yet I still feel
relaxed as a yogi
meditating on a lotus
chanting interminably
and then we're
moving together
emotionally
intellectually
physically
and then we part for a while
in our steady relaxed style
dooby dooby do
dooby dooby do
yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeahhhhh
ready
to play and to join
in the evening and the morn
to know and be known
intimately
to plan and to play
day by day
in our own special way
passionately
casually
variously
I feel at home to the core
ready and some more
to love and still feel free
seeing you
comfy as a cushion
relaxed as a mushroom
deliciously cozy with me
Then once again we're ready
delightfully
to blow the quiet
to have a riot
to join together
ardently
and later we are silent
you do your thing I do my thing
pottering
comfortably
I feel unmasked like a hero
heart open to the one love
unguarded and safe as can be
seeing you
steadily my ally
relaxed as a valley
at home being with me
dooby dooby do
dooby dooby do
yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeahhhhh
you do your thing
I do my thing
and sometimes we do our thing
dooby dooby do
dooby dooby do
yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeahhhhh

Romantic
passionate
fun tender
love poem, love poetry,
a cappella love song.
- Notes -
I don’t remember when I wrote this version - comfy as a pillow, relaxed as a willow.
The original piece - Relaxed in my Center - came in June 1994, right near the start of the flow of word pieces. My vision of something really good between 2 people, a loving couple. No images in that version, just the good warm feeling.
And then there’s this piece. Fun images. Comfy as a cushion, relaxed as a mushroom. Relaxed as a yogi, meditating on a lotus.
Was it from the same time? Later?
If I find out, I'll put in the info.

Fun romantic love poem, word piece.
Tender and passionate love poetry.
So many words were coming in June 1994.
I knew where they were coming from -
the wish for love,
the wish for a tender love,
calm yet passionate,
steady and sure,
yet ready to shift to strong desire.
And so there came to be this
romantic passionate love poem,
one of many love poems,
romantic, longing, content.
Gentle, tender, loving.
Romantic.
A vision of what I longed for,
had hopes for,
wanted in my life.
