I Hate Ironing
I hate ironing, ironing I hate
I hate it morning, I hate it late
I hate it steady, I hate it strong
yet I own an iron, that is all wrong
I throw it out the window
now the window is gone
and the wind blows strong
as for the iron, it hit the postman
he’s got it all wrong, thinks it’s him that I hate
no, I hate ironing, ironing I hate
I hate it morning, I hate it late
I hate it steady, I hate it strong
yet I owned an iron, that was all wrong
I threw it out the window
now the window is gone
and the wind blows strong
and the postman is irate
he thinks it’s him
and the bills that he brings
that I hate
he throws the iron in the window
the window that’s gone
so again I own an iron
but no window
while the wind blows strong
hmmm,
perhaps better to donate the iron
to some worthy organization
not throw it once more out the window
